The multilayer support

The parquet strips are profiled to obtain on the four sides micrometric male / female joints which allow, with a well-executed installation, to make spaces between one strip and another practically non-existent. This constitutes a safe barrier preventing the wood from being damaged and threatening domestic hygiene and also allows you to obtain a floor with an excellent aesthetic and long-lasting effect.

The support is made up of five or nine layers of birch wood superimposed and glued transversely to each other. The wood fibers arranged crosswise increase the elastic capacity of the multilayer, the resistance to twisting and crushing. Finnish birch offers considerable resistance to humidity and climatic fluctuations.

The gluing of the noble wood lamella to the Finnish birch plywood support is carried out at high pressure with very high performance phenolic glue, designed for water-resistant gluing and compliant with the UNI EN ISO 204 CLASS D4 standards: the result is a perfect cohesion between the two woods, which makes detachment practically impossible.

Finally, the layers of non-toxic UV paint of the Legnodoro wooden floor make the surface of the strips very resistant to abrasion. Thanks to the 4 mm of noble wood it is possible over the years to sand the floor more than once with a duration in residential use of over 80 years.

The original Finnish birch plywood support guarantees stability to the wooden floor and resists all climatic stresses in dry or humid environments and in closed rooms with air conditioning.
